Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies, I moved to Los Angeles, California, at the age of thirteen. My educational background consists of a B.S. Interaction Design(Jun 2020) and Computer Science A.A.(Dec 2022). My current coursework focuses on general computer science.
This summer 2020, I was selected as one of fifteen scholars for the inaugural Snap Engineering Academy. I learned Full-Stack Development(e.g. Node.JS/EXPRESS, API integration and Firebase) and improved Front-End Development skills(e.g. JS, EJS, HTML, CSS, GitHub). I'm proud of various projects that I've worked on during the program, academically and personal time (e.g., Snap Observatory, Snake Game, WebChat, Los Bros Hernandez and Arduino/Processing Prototypes projects (MiHeart & Mondrian/Coltrane Mashup).I am a big fan of Human-Computer Interaction and it’s future. In general, I am fascinated by people and how they interact with products, services, each other and the world. I want to pursue a career that involves prototyping, engineering, and HCI. In my free time, I love sharing my skills with non-profits(Baby2Baby(AR lens), JDRF(AR lens), etc), watching classic movies(some of my favorite movies are The Rope, Now Voyager, The Tree that grows in Brooklyn, Carmen Jones, 12 Angry Men, The Usual Suspects), underground comic books, finding the funny in life(I love to laugh), music(the good, the bad, and the ugly - everything), going down rabbit holes online(when I have time...e.g. Squirrel Obstacle Course), listening to interesting stories and hanging out with friends/family/interesting people.
